    placing eyes on cranks question.

    I am wondering if you guys are putting eyes on lures befor or after clear coat of if it matters? Thanks

    Before clear coating unless I am doing a Matte finish. I do it because it holds the eyes in a little better than the adhesive backing, and because it gives it a more natural smooth finish

    thanks, thats how i did the first few I liked the result I was just makin sure there wasnt a reason not to do it that way.

    I do the same thing. Keeps the eyes from popping off.
