Just ordered the 7'3" med/hvy. I am gonna use #4 micro's. Anybody built with this blank yet? I want to use it for pitching plastics and maybe throwing 3/8 oz spinnerbaits. I am taking all suggestions. Thanks gang.![]()

Thanks Did you use micro's on the 7'0" high mod? Split grip or ?![]()
TUG SERIES CUSTOM RODS
Split grip casting rod and i my smallest guides are 5, but thats my personal preference. I had a G Loomis i put micros on and to me it limited my casting distance.![]()

I have been useing #4 micros really been happy with them except there so damn small when wrapping them. The only draw back I would think is I only use 15-17lb line on them in fear of them popping off the blank. I do like them though.

I build a rod on a ranshadowblank with #4 mircos and run 20# izorline adn have had no problems
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
I built a MHX High Mod MB843 for a friend to use as a worm rod. It is 7 Foot rod and was built with brown burl cork split grip, Fuji Alconite micros spiral wrapped. Guides were 6, 5, 4.5, and 4's to the tip.
There is no degradation of casting distance at all, and the rod can handle the bigger bass. He caught an 8 lb 1 oz on it the first trip this year.
He had me buildhim this rod after he fished mine this summer, and would give it back only if I agreed to build one for him.

Bert

I have'nt had any fail yet and I do like them. I also have built 5 rods on the RX7 Rain Shadow blank. Good blanks I just ordered 9 more.![]()

I have built both a MH and H 7' hi mod MHXs with 4s for pitchin in the grass on the Tidal Potomac and they are great. They are so light and comfortable I even throw 3/16 tubes on these rods on the Upper Potomac. Best value out there and I like the MHX better than any blank I have built on.
