<table width="90%" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 align=center><tr><td>Quote, originally posted by wormonahook &raquo;</td></tr><tr><td class="quote">What wire are you guys using? Where do I get it? And mine looks the ugliest. I made it out of a kitchen wisk. No kidding. But I have a pic with a 8lb hybrid bass on it and caught DD just this last week on it. Worm on a hook</td></tr></table>

There is a guy on ebay that sells them. I got him to do the eye loop on both ends. In my case, I went with 0.035" gauge wire. He sells heavier wire if you want. He can also put swivels on both ends before putting the eye loop on them. I bought 13" wires from him. He can make them longer if you want. When I fold them in half, I get about a 6.5" arm if you will - that would get spread out.

On the mono question - I have since gone to wrapping 0.022" copper then added flux and solder. Shrink wrap over that. Its easier to work with than the mono as it stays in place and I don't have to worry about knots, etc. Plus no more super glue which was a mess.

It is a pain to twist the wires and get the loop small. Any pointers or suggestions?

Re: Simple to make A Rig (wormonahook)

Rather then reply to your PM I am just going to go ahead and post here.

Keep in mind I am using probably about the thickest wire you would want to use for this. Anyway this is what I came up with when I walked out to the garage.

Wrap the wire around the nail then pull it off over the top of the nail and do the same to the other side of wire.

Then put the loop in a vice and bend the tag end strait up

After that just take some pliers and start wrapping.
If your wrap starts getting lose bend the tag end back up toward the finished wraps and continue.

Cut the tag end off when done.

    Finished product.
