    97 150 Fast Strike J150GLEUE WOT Issue

Two weeks ago was fishing a Thursday nighter and was running up the lake at 61 mph and 5500 rpm. All of a sudden, it sounded like a cylinder dropped and motor was bogging down like it couldn't keep up with the fuel flow. MPH dropped 8mph and rpms dropped roughly 500. Push the key while at WOT and the motor bogs down which leads me to believe this is an electrical problem. Boat starts right up and idles fine, even accelerating through 1,000 - 4,500 rpm engine sounds and pushes the boat with no hesitation. As soon as you go above 4,500 she struggles and will barely get to 5300 rpms. The power pack and coils were replaced last year with oem parts. Plugs were changed out the next day. Compression was checked and port was 105, 105, 95 stbd was 105, 105, 100 (this was after warming up the engine). I'm thinking this is a stator/regulator issue as I do have some variance on my tach where occasionally the needle will bounce around. I will also be changing out the anti-siphon valve at the fuel tank with a straight flow brass fitting to see if there is a potential fuel flow issue, but as mentioned above I believe this to be more of an electrical issue. Any advice or suggestions as to what could have caused this would be greatly appreciated!

Nothing at all... My horn and engine monitor system function properly so I know it's not an issue there. It doesn't make sense as to why it's only at WOT and why this issue won't rear it's head at different speeds/rpms.

I asked about the Check engine as the horn for a fuel restriction comes on around 4K and goes away when you back off throttle. Test the stator output using a DVA for your meter. Make sure the clear sleeve is still on the throttle roller also if it falls off the plates won't open fully.

Which plug on the diagram would be the outlet side of the stator? Also will note that when I replaced the powerpack the number 6 plug was melted and I had to buy a new plug and re-pin it. Clear sleeve was also replaced a year ago and is still on there.
