I'm looking for a Lithium Cranking battery that plays nice with the Yamaha SHO 250 & Power Pole Charge.
My current X2 AGM is not treating me right and I'm fed up with it.
I have a 2021 Skeeter FXR21 w/ Yamaha SHO 250.

Been using an Ionic 125a on my SHO250 for almost 3 years now. Had an X2 prior and no comparison. As for the PP Charge playing nice with it, I have no idea.
What is it doing or not doing? If it was me I would get rid of the power pole charge and only charge the cranking battery with the motor. I have seen the PP charge cause more problems than it solves, mainly not charging the cranking battery enough when running.
I removed everything but the motor and the panel from my cranking battery and put it on it's own lithium. So, last night coming in in the dark, I had my NAV lights on and I hit the hydraulic jackplate switch and it shut my lights off. Then the motor wouldn't start, though it was reading 12.6 volts.
I 2nd the Ionic 125 ah battery. BMS is designed to handle the voltage of the SHO charging system. If I am making like a 10 mi run it will charge the battery over 90% after fishing all day with 2 HDS 12s running all day.

I would love to get an Ionic Cranking battery since I already have 3 of them for my Trolling motor, but they are finicky with the Power Pole Charge, so I'm reluctant. Uninstalling the Power Pole Charge seems like a daunting task with that cable being run to the driver's seat. :)
