    Phoenix 618 Holeshot problems

Purchased a 2018 Phoenix 618 with a 175 SHO this spring. Originally came with a 24p Fury prop, top end was great 65mph but the hole shot wasn't impressive, especially with two guys in it and live wells full. Prop to pad was 3.25". I've since tried a few different props and prop to pad measurements and still not getting good hole shot. Currently it has a 22p tempest plus on it, hole shot is slightly better with all vent plugs out fishing without any water in the live wells but its still not very good. I bought a talon for it and put it on, can get on pad with two guys and the talon but as soon as you fill the wells its takes 10+ seconds to get on pad. Also tried a 23p fury 4 with about the same results. Looking for recommendations and help. Thank you

Elevation can be a big player in prop selection. Roughly 3 percent per thousand feet. I just mention this as some might not take this into consideration. If you’re at sea level it’s a moot point. From what you have stated and without knowing what your RPM’s are at WOT. A 21 might be in your future.

Not the same but I just put a 200 sho on my 518 and noticed I could run the sho a lot higher. I do have a hydraulic plate

    Prop has too much pitch.
    Thank You Leon Pugh
