    Battery Isolater

What rating for a battery isolater should I be looking for using on my Merc 2000 225 EFI ? Manual say's 2000 RPM @ 60 AMP's, so would a 75 AMP Isolater work ?

    Thx,
    Gary

    Re: Battery Isolater (SPRINT 290DC)

    Yes, it would work.

If you wanna do it up "right".... I've got an OEM Mercury Isolator here that I'll make you a good deal on. Drop me an email, or call.

Also have the wiring kit WITH FUSE LINKS if you need that.

    Re: Battery Isolater (SNUFFY)

Allows you to run two 12V batteries and they both get charged equally, but when you turn the motor off you drain power out of the spare battery not the motor's starting battery. The isolator keeps them seperated so you always have power in your starting battery.

You might want to look at the Combiner by Yandina, Ltd. It's sold by Jones Trolling Motor and you can get info. on it on the Electrical/Trolling Motor forum. I bought one early in the year and it works great.
