    All Star Rod Repair

I have a 7ft All Star Musky rod that the reel seat will not tighten down on a reel. I'm looking for a board sponsor who I could ship the rod to and have them replace the reel seat.

The rod was a gift that my grandma got me for Christmas so it means a lot to me or I wouldn't be getting it fixed.

The easiest way is to remove the rear grip with the wire wheel side of a bench grinder( CAREFULLY, but, it's pretty easy , & fast). DON"T LOSE YOUR GRIP, or the rod is toast

Split the seat & pop it off. Slip a new seat on, & glue up new rear grip. Not too bad a job ( beats stripping & re-wrapping all the guides!)

    I never had a \"10\".....but, one night, I did five \"2\'s\"
