Trolling motor cradle install - TR185

    I’m refreshing a 2003 Tr185, and installing a trolling motor cradle.

How/where can I route the drain tube? I had thought there was an open space between the forward lockers that I could drop it down, but no such luck. Can I drill through the floor of the rod locker and tuck the tube there to drain into the bilge? Is the space under the lockers filled with foam?

    Your guidance is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Front storage compartment should be open at the front.

My TR196 runs the 2 pedestal drains & trolling motor pedal well drain out the front of that compartment into the bilge.

There is a small area where you can tuck the drain tube in near where the winch hook eye is mounted.

There is a vertical cross beam separating the port and starboard lockers right underneath where you will want to mount the tray. The area I refer to is in front of that area.

I'm not sure if you have already installed your tray but here is a a link to my previous install. I had a 2003 TR-185 several years ago and a I added a tray. If you go down to post #7, I included some photos. I used "pegboard" type material to make a template of the cut out then I made a template of the "side" of the tray so I knew how far to cut down. I wanted the tray to sit on top of the center brace for added support. I used a Harborfreight "Multimaster" tool cut out everything and it worked very well.
