    Upgrading from 93sv to 126sv

    Hi guys,
I’m thinking about getting the 126 unit to replace my 93 on the bow. Would I have to replace any of the cables, or would it be as simple as mounting the unit and using the existing power and transducer cables rigged for the 93? I only use the unit for livescope.
    thanks!

All cables would work. The fuse will be bigger for the 126 so would have to swap that out...

Might be interested in your 93 if the price is right

Make sure power connector is the same. Garmin has various pin configurations for power to their graphs.

Yes, the power wires are a larger size. I would swap out the power wire so you provide good unrestricted power to that higher amp unit. Even the 10" garmin has a larger power wire diameter than the 9".

Thanks guys. I was hoping to avoid dealing with the wiring, it’s not that hard, just don’t know if I want to mess with it. I would like the larger screen since I am finally learning how to use it a bit better. Still have two days to think about it. I’ll reach out to backlash if I go through with it. Happy Thanksgiving!

I ran wires from a breaker right off the battery for livescope, and all 4 graphs. I saw a difference in quality when i switched from the under dash power terminals to dedicated wiring. Nothing scientific, but seemed to work better

Found this conversation and it's what I needed to hear....I also need some clarification....My 93SV is factory bow installed (Vexus AVX1980) and I'll be replacing with the 126SV. I've been unable to learn if the transducer in my Garmin Force will simply plug and play into my 126SV to handle the sonar side and I'll handle the live scope side with my new LVS34 transducer?
BBT has the mount for both or just one if I have to keep the 93 but I'd rather have just the 126 on front..

thanks in advance for the info....

Yes the ducer on the Force is the GT54....it is plug n play with your 126 and will also work with the LVS 34. To keep the 93 or not is up to you......

Once you go to the bigger screen and faster processor you will be very happy.
