    Hey Rusty63

Would you look up my engine and see if there is any updates or any new I need to do... I seem to have some rough idle problems and I need to know how to fix them.. The engine is a Johnson Venom 200 and the manf. date is 10-1997 and serial number is G04420120 . Also the engine puffs white smoke after it has run along time at full throttle , when you slow down and run slow idle just like it would when you start it up in cold morning..

    Re: Hey Rusty63 (boots)

There have been no claims filed on that motor.

The running problem you posted sounds like the sink and link need to be checked along with the idle mixture.

I way dying to ask that yesterday.

Glad to see I'm not the only on here who don't know.

Tell us John........what's the sink & link? Maybe.....carbs & linkage? Naw. That's too simple.

    Re: Hey Rusty63 (SEAHORSE)

Seahorse, you bust my chops every time on that.....

Sync and Link is a process of steps to make sure the timing and fuel are supplied at the correct time, along with idle timing, wide open throttle timing, and throttle plate sync.

    Is that better Seahorse Sir??????
