Disclaimer: I have approx. 20 tournament-quality bait cast setups already, but recently got a deal on an extra bait cast reel and hate to see a good reel sit on the shelf. So, looking for a rod suitable for pitching and casting mainly 3/8 to 1/2 ounce jigs, Texas rigs, or even tubes [Erie]. Probably 14 pound test. Kind of a do-all setup for friends to use when they’re riding with me and didn’t bring their own tackle. I personally like rods that are 7’2” to 7’4” in medium heavy with a fast tip for pitching. We fish a lot of docks and overhanging structure. Whatcha got in the $100 or slightly higher price range? If you also know about a killer sale right now, please pass that along.
