I've been drinking some barrel aged beers lately. Boulevard Brewing (KC) makes a great bourbon barrel aged brew. It's really good.

Was watching Story TV this morning and they had Distilleries and Brew Houses on. Samual Adams is ageing some of their brew in bourbon barrels. The owner claims the aged brew has more alcohol than wine.

You select 4 different for each flight.

not particularly a jim beam fan here but local Kroger has had single barrell 108 on sale recenlty for $19 for 750ml. Opens up nice over a small ice cube and is better then I'd imagined.

what I like about doing a flight is the ability to compare. Most frequently I find that within a brand flight, the higher priced bourbons were not automatically better imo; different but that does not make it better in my mouth.

I've always thought the Jim Bean Single barrel was a good Bottle, And at 19 bucks I would stock up
There double oak or Devils cut is good as well for 20 dollar bottles.

Haven't been to Belterra since they redid River Downs. How's the Chef's Table? ... Worth the trip from Erlanger?

I've had all those except the Carbono Crossing. A core of three of us started a Friday bourbon-tasting night early in Covid. One of the guys has become a collector/reseller, so we've had the opportunity to quaff some stuff you'll never see sold in our area.
