I was gonna shoot my PCC but that class is crazy. I’ve seen 1.7seconds runs more than once . I can’t even shoot and hit the ground 5 times that quick lol

Who cares what someone else can do? You go in and shoot and see what you can do. You figure out how to practice some and you go back next time to see if you got any better.

Shoot it all the time. If you transition to rimfire you'll notice better times. Compete against yourself and not the others and you'll have a much better time. Drawback to rimfire is that you can experience more jams, feeding issues, etc. primarily due to the gun and its sensitivity to certian ammo. Rimfire pistols are picky on ammo brands.

Yeah I shot rimfire pistol. Had 1 malfunction . First malfunction with Cci sv. Automatch worked great the first 650 rounds and now it doesn’t like it. Might go to another Sunday and shoot PCC optics

I found that the most reliable rimfire ammo is CCI mini mags 40grain. If your gun won't function properly on that then the gun has an issue. The mini mags are a higher velocity than the sv.

I miss those days. I shot steel change before it was officially called steel challenge. Called speed plates back then late 80s/early 90s when I lived in Tx. A class in revolver and B class in Auto.

You should also think about doing a rimfire steel match. You use both pistol and rifle .22's. it's a little different in as plate numbers can vary, stage set ups can vary, and different plate sizes allow some to be double tapped.

I thought owning one of those was a right of passage for every teenager.
"the liberties of the American people were dependent upon the ballot-box, the jury-box, and the cartridge-box; that without these no class of people could live and flourish in this country..."

It’s probably a toss up weather AR’s or 10/22’s are the most modified. PSA had them for $218 over the holiday for a base rifle but I probably will only use the barrel anyway.
