    Help with electronic connectors

I need to extend the ribbon cables shown in the pic. It is potted to circuit boards on both ends so I will need to splice in additional cable. I have some cable from broken units but I need splice connectors.
Hopefully some of you electronic guys can help me identify the specific cable style and find IDC style socket connectors.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Wayne,
Can you tell from the pic if this cable is 2 conductor or 3 conductor? The way it is in 5he circuit, I assumed it was 2 but looking at I thought it may be 3.
If I buy a 4 pin connector and only use 2 or 3 of them, is that ok?

Don't know anything about it, just know how to do a Google or Bing search for that topic.

If you haven't found them yet, you'll need flat flex circuit cable. Your image is a single layer 3 conductor flex - you'll need to measure the pitch (conductor to conductor), and look for FPC (Flex Printed Circuit) connectors. Most connectors for these are solderable - some are crimp on. You can find some from Digikey, Samtec, TE, etc.

Thank you, I did find some crimp on but have not tried them yet because I redesigned the mounting so the existing cable is long enough. Still working on it though and May have to extend the cables at some point.
    Thanks again for the help.
