Anyone running one on the 4 stroke Mercs? If so who’s making them now?

I’m running a foil from my 300xs. The foil is the same width as a 4 stroke foil. The 4 stroke just has a wider cav plate. Hit up Brent Comeaux on facebook. He does them now I think.

John, what was the biggest thing the foil helped you on with the 300xs? I talked to Chris about making me one just before he passed. (Rest his soul Chris was a mighty fine person! ) Was there a significant difference in holeshot? I don’t have porpoising issues and really none with staying on plane. I can actually stay on plane at low mph. I have a top and bottom holeshot plate, just wondering if it’d be worth getting one?

I have one from Brent, LOVE it! Helped with the holeshot and what I called prop blowout. Made a huge difference. I can stay on plane really slow with no porpus.

It will also help the boat run better in rough water. keeps the nose planted, bullets are light so they want to jump. But with the foil it helps it stay planted.

I had one on my XRS 300xs combo the the holeshot was unbelievably better with the foil. Night and day difference. I didn't notice much difference anywhere else but the holeshot improvement was well worth it.
