It only gonna get worse on these boards, just because it will get reported more and eyes will be opened. I'm a firm believer, It is happening, and been happening for awhile. Most just cannot prove it.

Not saying every tournament it happens, but it happens more than we think.

I think I saw on here a couple years back where it showed someone cutting the tails got caught. So it could be in the slot limit. Since some places have different regulations, and without exemptions you can only keep bass up to a certain length, or only a certain number over.
But I am not sure exactly about that situation there. I am only trying to explain my thoughts of what they may mean of length altering.

If it is a slot limit lake fish that barely are inside of the slot folks trim the fishes fit to make it legal on the bottom end of the slot. Game wardens in NC used to check for trimmed fins on some slot limit lakes.

Seriously? Any info released on how much weight was added? I assume by your post that the fish weighed 2.5 lbs. and not that 2.5 lbs. of lead were added. I wonder what made it look suspicious? Lumpy tummy?
