Triton 21 TRX Elite 2015 250 Pro XS

I just recently bought a 21 TRX elite with 250 Pro XS 2 stroke. What kind of speeds should I see out of this boat? I’m currently running a 26 Fury with the Atlas jackplate around 5-6. Would you recommend a different prop than a 26 Fury? I’m coming from a Bullet so I still want it to ride pretty good.

tempest plus seems to be best on tritons--need to know rpm's with this prop to adjust also. how is hole shot?

Hole shot is good, ran the boat up to 70 with 2 people at about 6k RPM’s.

slipping some usually 75 or so at 6k a tempest or bravo1 type prop likely even better but fury is a good prop

I’m a little surprised you can turn the 26 to 6000 rpm’s, that’s about what I turn with a 24 fury on a 2017 21 trx with a 250 2 stroke. I’m loaded pretty heavy though so that could be part of it. With two people and a tournament load, 72-73 is doable with a good prop. You could possibly have your fury worked to gain a few mph depending on its condition, I know mine is pretty worn out and I’ve lost 2-3 mph from when it was new. In general the fury doesn’t carry a load very well, most say a tempest is better with a load. I’ve not personally ran one but plan to eventually get a 25 tempest to try.

On another note, I’d be curious to hear how you like the Triton compared to the bullet. I’ve seriously considered trading mine for a 21’ bullet.

I’ll try and find a 25 tempest to see how it runs. I have fished a bullet since 2011, I have had multiple models. The bullet is a fun boat to drive, the 21 bullets fish well. I don’t believe there is a brand out there that has the resale value of a bullet. The bullet family is tight and they hold their value. I have had a triton before, feels like going from a corvette to an F150 truck when comparing bullet to Triton. The Triton definitely has a better layout and fishes better with 2 on the front deck. Thanks yall for the recommendations and advice.
