Excess Grease Removal

What is the easiest way to remove an excess of grease on outside of rim? Previous owner filled bearing too much or who knows what.

Wipe all of the heavy grease off with a rag and throw it away. Wash the wheel with Dawn dish detergent.

I would use brake cleaner and something disposable like Shop Rags..

wipe the heavy off and use mild cleaner to finish it off simple green or dawn
