The app will show each battery separately.
I have an Ionic 125 ah starting battery. It has its own app. It shows all the vitals.
Then I have 2 Litime 100 ah trolling motor batteries. These both show up on the Litime App.
I can check each battery individually. I have named each battery in the app and have put a number on each battery, so I know which battery I’m looking at in the app.
What’s interesting is that both Litime batteries show up on the Ionic app. It will not allow access though.
Having bluetooth is the way to go.

the majority of the apps will see all the batteries but reports each battery indivually

Bluetooth protocol v5 enables up to 7 devices to communicate. You can imagine the developers of the Battery Apps don't want to consume more than 1 connection at a time to prevent all those with speakers, watches and such to have problems.
