I had the Big Bass Tour on Smith Mountain Lake for four days. So I put the boat on the trailer and fished another very different lake for two of those days (and had a good time)

top 10 to 90th place in 1 day is tough… assuming he had later flight and got on a bad rotation but he also didn’t even catch a fish until 11 yesterday so he never got on the herring deal

obviously they didn’t show him much today but he was dragging a Carolina rig around a lot but his two catches were on a fluke…. Those Carolina rig fish must not have showed up because he caught 20 pounds in about an hour

He’s still top 40 in points. He’s been to Wheeler already and when he hits Smith it will fish how he likes to fish. Then he spent extra time last year up on St Lawrence and Champlain so it will be interesting to see if he stays in the classic cut. Only thing that’s weird to me from his morning interview is that he didn’t know the morning schooling bite was a thing. Not sure how you don’t get that memo

yup just 1 fish…. Tough day for a few guys. Late boat draw plus high skies made it a really tough day
Definitely been a fun tournament to watch with all these blowups! These are the types of tournaments that they need to sneak in the schedule more often so it’s not just a straight FFS deal like Eufaula has going on right now
