Batson Rainshadow GCB710MH,has anyone built this blank yet? Looking for your opinions.Would like to make myself a deep-crankin specific rod.Is this by any chance the blank used on Quantum's Tour KVD crankin rod(TKVD7106M)?The Rainshadow is rated 3/8-11/4oz while the KVD is 3/8-1oz but I thought I read something about them being the same.

I have built the Batson CB80MH, and like mine. For the weight difference I would go with the graphite versus glass rod. I like glass rods, I just haven't built that blank but could recommend the Batson graphite versions. I have fished both the 7'6" version and 8'.

Batson makes the blank for KVD's siggy rods but that isn't the one. His is a composite rod. I may be wrong about it but I'm pretty sure that exact blank isn't available to the public, just produced by Batson.
