So last summer I had some gas burp out of my gas cap and it got on a small section of the back deck carpet. I cleaned and rinsed the area well and it now been about 6 months. I want to get this section glued back down. What should I use? Thanks

Weldwood contact cement in the red can.

Thanks! Appreciate it
Weldwood in blue can, it's thick like pudding and stays where you want it
I used the blue can weldwood 4-5 years ago and have had no issues with my carpet yet.

I used 3M Hi-Strength 90 Contact Spray Adhesive, 17.6 oz for the carpet on my new front and rear decks and it's held up great. It's in a green can and Amazon or Walmart both carry it.
I agree the 3M spray is the easiest route. Having to paint contact cement on 2 surfaces on each lid, floor, deck, interior is a pain! Spraying is super easy and cuts your time down in half. I've yet to have the carpet pull loose. I ve done 6 boats with it an no issues.
I've used the weldwood original in the red can on roughly 30 boats with zero issues. I don't brush it on. Been using a cheap siphon feed gun from harbor freight for years with no issues.
