One Step Closer - built Rotteserie

Finished up building the rottesserie this evening. Will hold 8 baits. Better on the crank baits vs. the lipless - but it is a start. I have the compressor, gun and paint. I guess tomorrow is the big day. Will post pics on what we end up with. Hope it either comes out great - or you guys get a good laugh.

Looks great, that should do the trick.

To save space, I got an idea from another board member to actually mount the rotisserie on the wall. I mounted a coupled 2x4's sticking out far enough for proper clearance, then mounted the rotisserie. Now it doesn't take up floor space!

Thanks for the idea! I also saw something where someone mounted from the rafters that I will look into.

The axle needs to be very close to "level" or the epoxy will flow down hill.

Re: One Step Closer - built Rotteserie (paulpus)

Paul - the rotteserie worked great. If you can get away with using alligator clips on crankbaits with bills - you shouldn't have any problem. The only concern I see is when you work with a lipless bait. I did do a lipless last evening and used the handle of an exacto knife to hold the bait. I just duct taped the handle to the shaft of the rottesieri. I spoke with Mike and he mentioned maybe a better way would be to put velcro on the handle and shaft - seems pretty easy to me. I have a lipless with an alligator clip on their now. I guess I will see in the morning if it held, or if the bait in the the ground.
