    Fuel filter and serial check

2004 optimax 225. Serial number OT973057. have a boat that has been sitting long enough that I am looking at replacing the fuel system and doing some maintenence on the motor before getting it back out. Looking on <EDIT- Announcements> the fuel filter number says not available and it looks like another number may have replaced it from the diagram. Original number is 884380T. Could someone please confirm the correct replacement for it?

Also am I correct that my parts would fall on the serial number list between 225HP DFI 0T801000 THRU 1B417701

    Appreciate the help.

Try using the link that Don provides to look up your parts. It will give you the superseded number. His prices are competitive for OEM as well.

^^^^ This, the guy puts out a vast amount of information on here and helps everyone. The least we can do is purchase parts from his business.

Try www.mercurypartsonline.net (and use your Serial Number). In most cases, the part will supersede as you place it in the shopping cart.

"Replacing" the fuel system is going to be a VERY costly venture. Cleaning, validating and servicing is probably wise, though.
