    Weather?

Did the weather get rough in your area? We didn’t have any severe weather today but got loads of rain. Hoping it will dry up soon.

There were tornadoes in East TN this evening without a doubt. I haven't heard anything about injuries, etc. but the photos certainly show some significant property damage in some rural, sparsely populated areas. I don't know how widespread or extensive the damage is elsewhere.

Supposed to get 5-7” of snow tomorrow night. Was hoping the 14” we got 10 days ago would’ve been it for winter

Lots of trees down in my neighborhood. Power went out at 09:15 yesterday morning, still out.

My new adoptee "Georgie" was upset with the thunder he heard. A 10 pound something black doggie, his head and ears went up and he looked quite concerned.
First thunder I've heard this year.

The worst of the weather was north of us. Got some rain which we really didn’t need. I finished mowing 3 acres and got a free bath just when I was going to the shed with the mower. It was expected to be bad but we got lucky this time.

Wind gusts, heavy rain and thunder/lightning here. Nothing too bad fortunately.

We got about 8 inches of snow and forecasted to get another 2 to 3 yet today. It took me over an hour to drive home last night after work (normally 18 minute commute). It is pretty windy today and the wet snow has and will continue to cause some down power lines and power outages.

We needed some precipitation though. Still pretty dry

Bad winds came through here. Blew over a couple of those Big steel billboards that you see along the interstate. Lot of damage. Local news said 92 mph winds. Don’t know about that.

Sounds like the wind storm we got in August with 85+ mph winds. It was pretty intense, and did a lot of damage.

We had 80+ mph straight line winds here in Lexington yesterday. Power still out in most of my subdivision.

Yes, knocked down part of the local fire department, and blew the roof off of the elementary school, power has been out since about 10:30 yesterday.

Luckily we dodged any really nasty weather. It went south of us by 25 or 30 miles but we still heard the tornado sirens blaring from in town for a while. Never saw an official tornado warning though.

Potential for 18" of snow by then end of Thursday. Guess I'll hitch the boat to the plow truck and be ready for anything!

Looking ugly up here. Forecast is now 6"-12" total but they were flirting with the 18" predictions for a while. ON THE OTHER HAND, there's already 6" on the ground and another 12+ hours of heavy snow predicted. Yay.
