Dirty Birds are in win-now mode, you don't sign a QB in the back 1/3 of his career coming off a bad injury for $45+ per year unless you think you can go deep. At least from a fan perspective they don't have to watch terrible Ridder anymore!
Kirk was a frustrating QB who never quite lived up to expectation. The achilles injury was a tough break, who knows what might have been had Kirk not been injured. I was ready to turn the page if Kirk didn't re-sign for a team friendly contract; my number was $40 a year, two years. See ya, Kirk.
He has a better O-line in front of him in Atown but he has never won anything other than regular season games.

Kirk will get blasted, no matter what. When he needs the throw he'll stand in there and take the hit. Just because sometimes he gives up quickly and curls into a ball on some plays doesn't mean a thing in Kirk's case. He is a tough SOB.

Glad to get him, Ridder was a disaster. Heinicke as much as I like him is not the answer. London, Miller, Pitts etc probably pretty happy today though.

From a guy that goes all the way back to the Gritz Blitz, It's been a long hard road with very few bright spots. One or two mind you, but so so many low points. Breaks my heart that Matty didn't get that SB. One bad play on 3rd down sigh...
