    Modifying Crankbait Blanks?

I purchased some unpainted crankbait blanks and the one that i liked i bought, painted it up, and tied it on, threw it, and it didn't run very well. My question is, the bill is rounded on the front am i able to take the dremel and square off the bill and sand the underneath to make it flat.

It looks like a flat sided lucky craft style. I really like the size of the bait but would like to get it to run better.

    Anyone ever experimented with this?

Yes I will take some baits and change the bill shapes, sharpen or thin or even change the weights. Problem is you will ruin a few but if they dont run well anyway your not going to hurt them

They for sure do not run very well, I figured a buck or two to try and see if i can get them to run better.

There is also a dised place in the lip does this need to be there or can i fill it in with something?

infront of the line tie, just a dished out spot dead center of the bill
