built my first rod and took it to work to show it off and then broke about 6 inches off the tip getting it out of my truck. If i fix it back will it still be worth a crap to use or will this kill the action of the rod?

It will kill the action of the rod, unfortunatelyDon't feel bad, I made a beautiful cranking rod that had exactly the balance, weight, and look I wanted, then shut the boat deck lid on it as I was putting it in for the first time

Post a pic of what you have left let's see your work. I broke a ultra light rod I made first time out when the rod locker door slipped out of my hands. That stuff happens but it sure can make you mad and burst you bubble.

if i can figure out how to post some pics i will. I am gonna order the stuff to build another rod tonight. What guides would be the best to get for a 7 foot casting rod?
It can probably be repaired and be pretty close to what it would have been before it was broken. http://www.rodbuilding.org/lib....html
