    stripping paint

    i was wondering what was the easiest and safest way to strip old lures of their paint. going to try a few i think i have all the stuff from where i do taxidermy work. so here goes nothing as soon as i can find out how to get the paint off safely.

    You don't really need to remove the old finish. I do <U>a lot</U> of repaints and the best thing 90% of the time is to just key the surface with 400 grit wet paper and start painting. Most things that will take the finish off will also eat the plastic or remove the sealer on balsa.
