    First craw pattern

Hello all, Noob here. I have enjoyed looking at all of your great work and thought I would share some of mine.
I have never done a craw pattern before so I started messing around last night and came up with these. I am still working on the colors.

    Here's a bluegill I did last week:

Did you create a template to get such fine, clean lines for the shell. I cannot get mine to come out nearly that tight.

    vafishing,

Not to give too much away, lol, but it takes 7 stencils to make that pattern. Not the fastest pattern in my catalog, lol.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback.

    Re: First craw pattern (tomsljr)

ok I promise only one more question, what do you make your stencils out of. I have about 10 that I use regularly that I made on sime very thin plastic sheets I get at an art store. They work ok but are a little to stiff so hard to get to conform to the lures shape.

    Re: First craw pattern (vafishing)

va, I think I use the exact same stuff. It is stiff, but holds up. Add a little extra tab to your mask and use that to tape it to a small stir stick so it is easier to keep in place and gets your hand out of the way. That's how I do a lot of my stencils, but not on this craw, lol.
