Prop Shaft Seal on 2003 150 Johnson

    Hi:
I pulled the prop off of this motor that I bought a couple of months ago and found a bunch of mono behind the prop. Pulled the lower unit drain plug and yep, there is a little water in the lube. Are there any special tools required to change that seal? Is there a web site somewhere that shows you how to do that. I have a shop manual on order, but it has been back ordered for weeks.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You can do it with out special tools you just have to remove the bearing carrier.

    Which manual did you order?

And you can use the part prints that are posted on the top of this page for reference. They're very handy for putting things back together and for ordering parts.
