    Paint removal??

    I traded for a custom painted bait and have not got it yet but if i dont like the color of the bait how can i remove the paint and have it back to the factory color?? it is a Spro bbz-1 he told me the origonal color was the blue back herring. thanks for any info !!

    Acitone will probably be your best bet. just be careful you don't take the factory pain off too.

    Hey neighbor...lol.. I dont think the acetone would be a good idea.. A repaint would probably be your only hope...

    Haha Were pretty much nieghbors, i know laquer thinner will eat both finishes off how much would it be to get a bbz painted?? oh thanks for the info guys!

    I don't think you will be able to get it back to the factory color. If the painter did use cheap paint that would come off easy. There is a good chance that they sanded the bait before they painted it to make the paint stick better. May be it will be better than new when you get it.

    I'm with Egandy, not a good idea.

    It is a jointed bait and if they are painting it they will probably be using an automotive type clear finish or Dick Nites, so it can be sprayed on and not impact the action by affecting the joints. You will not be able to 'restore' it to it's original finish.

    ok ill keep it the same color unless i want it repainted i think it was done by bait ink
