Yes but a good respirator and a booth is advisable, even with the waterbase paints I would wear a respirator.....createx auto air for example is supposed to be a safe alternative to lacquer but it contains silica's which once embedded into your lungs never goes away I tell guy's all the time I wouldnt spray ANYTHING without some type of protection....you only get 2 lungs and the words waterbase dont make it safe. Alot of topcoats can be sprayed depending on paint type and again alot of them are very harmful once you atomize them and float them in the air....
