Acrylic water based craft paint at Michaels.

I have been using Plaid "Folk Art" and thinning alot for airbrushing. It has worked fairly well for me. But I spent a long time talking to Plaids product knowledge speciaist and she reccomended the Michaels "Craft Smart". It costs $0.50 a bottle instead of $2.00 a bottle. Plaid makes this paint also. Seems to work better than apple barrel as well. So far it has been better than any "craft paint" I have tried. 74 colors. $37 will buy every color..

Just thought I'd share this with my tackle making buds.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes I am afraid I frequent Michaels as well. Get some strange looks from all those soccer moms while roaming around in there.

my wife is a professional artist... so if ever need anything from michaels or... *gag* 'hobby lobby' she will pick it up for me. heck she knows more about paint than i do so no problem there. Usually just have to sneak into her studio and swipe what i need though

hmm, might give some a try, thanks.

I tend to hit hobby lobby due to the big sales they run (ok some of you quit gagging, plenty of eye candy there to).

Plus, they sell a 30 minute epoxy in two 4 oz. bottles for 9.99 that is a nice alternative to D2T for bonding your lips, screws... and yes for top coating if you desire. Just don't over mix adding your own bubbles into the equation.

Yes it needs to be thinned about 50/50 with water.
