    My Split Grip

    ..It just took a few pictures to get me going ...Thanks George, Matt and Obed for the inspiration ..I had to add my own twist with the good old onion bag under foil trick 7 more to go

    that is sweet wha is that you put on the rod
    Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

    tell us what we are looking at....what is the silver material and is that red thread? Did you epoxy over everything? Interesting build so I am curious as to the materials.

    Good job! I had never considered using an onion bag beneath foil! That is an interesting concept. Guess what we have a lot of in Idaho...onion bags! lol. Where did you come across that idea?

    After the cork was cleared away I used spray epoxy and laied down the onion bag on the blank. Then respray some glue and press aluminum foil over the netting, Im sure a coarse lace would work just as well, and Devcon 2 ton to seal it. The clear coat looks cloudy in the pix but it is shinny and clear. I will spray some transparent color over that and reseal....I got the idea from the hard baits I paint, I use foil and lace for a scale pattern quite a bit...
