These are 7" long and about 2oz. they all are slow fall, but will wake the surface on a fast retreive. The bass was caught yesterday evening while testing, 4lb.12oz.

great pics
have you thought of cutting a slot in the 3rd section, sliding the tail in and holding it in with pins? with teh current setup, i would think the tails would snap off pretty quickly expecially if they arent made of metal.
ive broken off a few tails similar to that - which is why i think most manufacturers make soft plastic tails.

T Dot, those tails are made from Lexan and I have not broken one yet.
But now that you mention it I do make them with plastic tails also, plus a few crankbaits with replaceable plastic tails.

i wouldnt doubt the lexans would break as well, mainly due to the holes being so close to the edges. i rarely see lexan tails exposed like that.
all the lexan tails i have experienced are fixed to the last section of the body, and always pined down in 2 holes.
you should also experiment with brush hair tails and fins. have you tried experimenting with angled cuts from section to section?

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Thanks guys, glad you like them.
T Dot, have tried the microfiber tails and fins and although they look pretty they don't hold up to fish very well, a coulpe good bass and they shred up pretty bad.
Musky and pike can demolish them in a heartbeat, they do look great displayed on the mantle though. In all honesty I have caught just as many fish on swimbaits without any tail at all as I have with and they are a whole lot less work.
