Not even sure if this can be done or not, but I would like a 7' 844 GLX blank w/ 2 inches shaved of the butt and a 9 inch full cork handle w/ no fore grip. Also would like to have the recoil guides. Is something that can be built by one of the custom guys on the boards or is it not do-able. This will be a casting rod, the total length will be 6'10".
I would say it could be done easy enuff

If you can imagine it it can probably be done by a custom builder.
This can definately be done, if you would like to talk about getting one built I would be glad to discuss options with you, and what you could expect from cutting 2" from the butt of that blank.
Scott is absolutely correct...a piece of cake! That is what's nice about custom rods, they can be built exactly the way YOU want them.

Kind of ironic... I am in the shop right now (2:47am cst) working on a 844IMX cutting 2" off the rear but putting split grip with no foregrip and I am not using the recoils.... ok maybe not the same but close

What the heck are you doing working that time of the morning? If I didn't know better, I'd say that you were taking after me! lol. That is a hazard of rod building, you sometimes spend some LONG hours getting a rod done for a client or yourself.
