2013-2017 chevy equinox or gmc terrain. I used 2 of these as company vehicles, between the 2 put 320k miles on them, done nothing but scheduled maintenance. Neither vehicle has ever been in shop for repair.

I have a 2013 Mazda CX5 with 91K that runs/rides like new. We bought it used for my son this past Feb. and I drove it for a good bit until he got his license. Great vehicle, great on gas, and surprisingly nimble on the throttle.

I bought my daughter a Hyundai Elantra in 2010 new. She put 75k miles and we sold it to a friend of mine for a commuter car. It now has 212k miles and still going strong. A buddy of mine is driving a Hyundai Accent with a manual transmission and has 190,000 miles on it. Neither vehicle has had any issues.

It’s really hard to beat a Honda Civic. When i first met my wife she had one that she bought used, put over 175k miles on it with nothing but regular maint that any car would need. That thing would not quit and was as reliable a car as one would ever find . Hers had the Vtec motor in it so it held its value well. When we sold it it had over 250k on the odometer and she sold it for almost what she paid for it. It was an easy sell too, the rice rocket crowd loves them. We posted it on CL and it was gone in 6 hours.

I helped my son buy a 2004 Toyota Camry about 6 months ago and paid $4k. Runs great, lots of miles, but it's rock solid daily driver....

Hard to bet any of these, just get a mechanic to check them out before buying.

I would be looking for a new mechanic if he told me that.

Another good one! My grandparents had one that eventually was totaled in an accident after 400k. I know several mechanical type guys that have this engine in the late 90s era buicks. The only thing they had to do was regular oil changes and a water pump here and there. I don't think the water pumps were as good as the original oem versions.

any used honda that I have bought I always got another 100,000 miles out of them. They usually have over 200,000 miles when I get them. I do this for my commuter car to work. Keep the miles off my nice vehicles. I have bought accords and civics.
