I will have to measure mine for you but I am somewhere in the 21' range on my garage and have a Bass Cat Pantera II stuffed in there.
Acutally, I have a cad drawing of my garage and just opened it up, I have 21' 9 1/4" from the sheathing to the inside edge of the door. I tuck the motor between studs on the back wall and I have about 5" behind the motor tilted down and about 3" in front of the tongue when its folded. That is with a 6" slidemaster jackplate on there and an Optimax 200. I am not sure if the new four strokes are longer or not. It is tight but I don't have to spit on it to close the door. I will still measure it up to be sure of exact dimensions with the motor tilted down and tongue folded. I was going to get a P4 and it is 3" longer than the P2, so I am kinda glad I stuck with the P2 for my scenario.
I also have a garage that is 21' 2" and my wife will not give up her half:-) Currently I have a Lowe 17HP tin boat with a 90 opti and it fits with plenty of room to spare straight in. The trailer is of course a single axle and the trailer tongue folds. The little Lowe is a great boat but of course I would like the better ride and speed of a bigger glass boat. I did research and I think a Bass Cat PII on a single axle trailer with folding tongue with no jack plate will just fit. You may have to angle it a little but not so much you get into the wife's space. Good luck and please post models you find that might fit as I think there are many people with this problem. I liked the PII because of Bass Cat quality but you could get it with a 200 and it is a very capable platform if you can live with the slightly narrow bow area.
I bet that you wish that you built that garage 25' now; it's sad that standard house plans and builders don't normally build anything deeper--I had explain why my custom plan had a 25' deep 2-car garage with a front and rear door when the other 2-car garage was 21' deep. Would you be open to an aluminum boat? I noticed that the fiberglass boats are much wider than my '85 Skeeter SF-175, which can also be a problem depending on what size vehicle your wife drives--think dinged fenders (boat trailer) and doors (car). Maybe aluminum will get you something narrower and smaller outboard that gives you room to walk around, even with a swing-away tongue.
If you still can, see if you can a back garage door for the stall that will have the boat. I custom built mine with a 25' deep garage and 18' doors on both the front and back of the garage. I'm glad that I did for livewell draining and outboard maintenance--can do both without moving the boat. I only wish that I also had a drain in the floor as well.
I has an older Triton tr186, no jackplate...had a swing toungue...it would fit into your garage...
I didn't read where you said you can't angle it? I have a Ranger 188VX. It is an older boat 2009. I fit it in a single stall 20'8" deep. Tonge folded, motor down but I did have to push the nose of the boat over. It did stay in the single lane of the garage though. My wife parked beside it with no problem.Originally Posted by gibby0311

You're not lying, were in the market for another house next year freaking garages are so shallow. Fortunatly the wife said we can build out the garage if its to small. Need to fit a Vexus 1980 or 2080 in there straight back... Plus my Mustang and room for a workshop. I have plans lol.

Not to derail the thread, but does anyone know if you can have a side stall garage extended? Since the back goes into the house the only way I see is to extend the front of the garage, effectively moving the location of the garage doors forward. Mine is 21’ as well and I’d consider doing this long term if it doesn’t cost more than the boat itself.
I’ve own multiple boats in several homes that I had to angle them, giving up the entire garage. I said never again and on my current home, main garage is 34 x 34. In addition, built a separate detached garage just for my boat, 14 x 34 with a 12 ft roll up door. The reason I mention this, if anyone is considering building a separate garage for your boat, consider making it a bit larger (and taller) for re-sale purposes. Large buyer market also looking for homes they can park their RV’s, etc.
I am going through this now on trying to buy our retirement home. I have a 98 Cobra 201d w/Jackplate and no breakaway tongue. I swear that thing is 30ft from tip to tail.
I told wife I have following demands on Retirement Home.
1. Large enough garage to park boat without angling, gojaks, or crazy manueving. Back straight in and be done.. hook up/unhook, etc. I am too old and worked too long to not enjoy my main hobby during retirement.
2. No more than 30 mins to Lake.. prefer 15-20 mins
3. No more than 30 mins to Golf course.. prefer 15-20 mins
4. Large enough backyard to shoot bow.
5. Out of city limits to reduce taxes.
Unfortunately, the only way for builders (and designers) to quit building smaller garages is to build custom homes with larger garages in much greater quantities and for home buyers to quit compromising by parking the boat at an angle. Unfortunately, not everyone is blessed enough to custom build a house and to get enough approvals for larger garages, and HOA's have a hard time understanding the need--I know that my HOA required extra explanation for why my second attached garage was 22'x25' instead of the standard 22'x22' as the first attached garage as well as why I wanted a rear garage door on the 2nd garage as well. I know that some people say don't live in an HOA, but that is not so easy considering where property and good schools are located.
FYI, on my 250, turning the motor does NOT gain any inches. The corners just turn on a radius and take the same space straight back as the straight motor originally did.
my garage is 21'6. I have a 22'2 inch boat in on angle within a single bay. Turning the motor I think buy's me an inch or 2 simply because turning it delays it hitting the wall by just a bit
