Which Minnkota Quest be better to get

Just wondering on which motor be best to put on the Boat, another opinion Lets go with the 52" 36 volt but since we all have mega 360 and live up front , and of course mega side and down at the counsel. so is it worth getting the motor with down and side imaging or the dual spectrum chirp , thinking with the motor holding you in place (spot Lock) how the side imaging be worth it , just trying to make a good choice when I go to get one

I went with the SI Transducer on my Quest. There are times when I want to use SI & DI on the front of the boat rather than the back. When spotlocked, you wouldn't use SI from either the front or back anyway... you need to be moving.

Also, just to be clear, you don't select 24V or 36V on the Quest models. It works with either and automatically detects which it is connected to.

Big question – do you have humminbird graphs

NO – Get the quest w/2D chirp xder so you can mount other brands SI/DI xdcr
YES – get the quest w/SI/DI xdcr

Side Image is a poor man’s version of HB’s 360 If you’re not going straight you’re not going to get the best image BUT at least you know there’s something there you need to look at

Since you have a mega 360 and it has side imaging theres no need for it on your tm.

I wish they made a head unit with no transducer. 2d is obsolete w live imaging.

SI ducer does it all and no external wires to get damaged. Money is the only reason not to get it. I find SI valuable looking at the structure while beating the bank. Pick one side only at 50 t0 75’ so you can easily see structure and fish. Clear pic’s on mega settings. Just cruise along and cast using Autopilot or follow the shore or make small manual changes in direction. JMO Bob
You can also mark likely structure to try another time.

He already has Mega SI with his Mega 360 why would he need it twice?

If everything is working properly he does not need to have both, but If I am fishing from the bow I don’t want to be looking 20’ behind me. Same goes for the DI. I want to eliminate external cables if at all possible on these motors for any of the auto control modes will eventually snag those wires at some point. Spotlock is a big offender in this regard. You can’t use SI on every occasion on the bow, but it is useful in many situations if you pay for it to begin with. If you don’t ever use most of the features don’t invest in those things. JMO Bob
The price difference is $300 (the price difference of the transducers)

I think, with over 8,000 BBC posts, Bob knows what the Mega 360 is. I'm sure he was referring to the transom SI Transducer. In any case, not everybody has their Mega 360 at the bow... mine is at the helm.

360? Never heard of it! Spending $4200 for the motor $300 gives you option to change your setup anytime in the future. Even selling it will bring you more. If you are a one-trick pony don’t bother to do it
