How is this the ACC’s fault. Other than the whole conference sucks at football. They would be hard pressed to beat the bottom 5 teams from the SEC

They were 2-0 vs SEC this year. One without their QB

Unfortunately, FSU got screwed by the committee. They finished 12-0 in a major conference, and what more could they have done to qualify? The idea that they wouldn't be "competitive" without their starting QB is preposterous and has nothing to do them being in the playoffs but they are looking for the teams that will draw the most attention. Who here thinks that they would have passed on a 12-0 Clemson team from the ACC? Sorry, but this is not a fair system.

Sure…beat two middle of the pack to bad SEC teams. Also lost to UK. But I’m not going to play the transient match up game. Miami, Clemson have too much talent to be that bad, the conference as whole is weak. And I hope FSU leaves.

It wasn't so long ago that Clemson was winning national championships. Everybody jumps on the SEC bandwagon but is the SEC really that strong outside of BAMA and Georgia? I mean you get to play Vanderbilt, Florida and a whole other host of teams that suck. FSU beat the crap out of LSU and beat Florida at home with a backup.

My response was to the one they would be hard pressed to beat the bottom 5 teams in the SEC. Let’s be real, the SEC is average every year minus a couple teams. I mean, Mizzou highly competitive?

Everyone with talent will opt out. Hell some people are saying that FSU should just not even play in a bowl game as a sign of protest.

I agree - the truth is that most of the conferences have 2 or 3 dominant programs and the rest of their teams are average. I think you could trade the bottom 5 teams from every conference around the country and they would be much the same. The same 15 teams recruit most of the top talent every year and that's how it is.

Has anyone looked at the bottom half of the ACC…I’m not even counting Stanford/Cal. Dabo is a fraud and caught lightning with Watson/Lawrence. If you don’t think the perception of that conference as whole weighed in on the decision then I don’t know what to tell you. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see the bigger brands peel off.

FSU should have had the #4 spot. Can’t penalize them cause of a hurt player. What’s the point of playing games? Bama barely beat a 6 win team last week with a miracle. FSU goes undefeated. Sad.

I wouldn't blame them, but they won't because the bowl game is worth too much money for the school.

Is the committee’s job to award the 4 playoff spots to the teams that had the best season, the 4 best teams overall, or a combination of both? Would any of these “FSU got screwed” posters bet their own money on FSU to win in a hypothetical FSU vs Alabama matchup? I wonder how much Alabama would be favored.

Right. Michigan's best O-lineman is out, but they didn't get penalized.

Then Washington should be out as well. This was the installation of the teacher’s pet.

I think FSU would beat Bama. Hell if Auburn almost beat them then FSU certainly could. Why even play the games if we are just going to make decisions beyond the win and loss column? Bama has had bad games and one loss. FSU has no losses and that is with a backup QB. I guess defense doesn't matter we just want trams to score points for the ratings on TV.

Sure they can. They state they do exactly that in their rules they have laid out. It’s written in black and white they will do that.
