I believe Drewtick, on the Phoenix board sells a safety step that fits on the bracket of Power Poles or Raptors.

I wonder how easy that ladder would come out if you’re treading water in wet clothes. Having to pull it out could be difficult

There's a grab handle above it

Bob’s machine shop has a great ladder that stays out of the way. If you have powerpoles Andy at Drewcraft sells a nice one.

I do not have a bass boat, however I have installed this ladder on two previous boats. A flat transom is required. I mounted just above the waterline. I used (4) 1/4" machine bolts. length of bolts is boat specific. I also used a 1/4" piece of alum as a backing plate.

I chose this ladder as it is one of the deepest deploying ladders out there (unless custom built). the telescoping feature is where it shines!
I plan on adding one to me new Tracker Pro Guide V16SC.

As mentioned.....when you are in the water only your head is out of the water.....you have to be able to get a foot onto the lowest step of ladder. At 61 and 265#, I need that lowest step to be at my belly button, or lower, if I have any chance at climbing aboard!

    Safety first!
