Still much better than the 12-team playoff. Judging by current rankings Oklahoma would be in. They lost to Kansas. Lose to Kansas and you don't deserve the CFB Playoff in my opinion.

6 is still the right number, let two of the G5 in. 2 at large is plenty. If ND wants to bitch they can join a conference.

I saw one bracket that if we had 12 teams today it would have Tulane in. That is a waste and flawed.

So you are going to miss empty stadiums with bowl games pitting a 5-7 team versus a 6-6 team? Maybe you miss the good ole days when they voted for the National Title instead of played for it like HS, D-I FCS, D-II, D-III, NFL, every other sport? How about the BCS where we let computers help determine combined with the good ol fashioned and unflappable 'eye test'.

If the 'many teams that don’t deserve to wash the jocks of the top teams' get in, that shouldn't be an issue for the top teams as they will just need to take care of business. And by my math, most part of those 'many teams' should be in the Top 12 or close (depending on conference championships). A few more games pitting Top 12is teams seems like the kind of tradition I'd prefer versus the current meaningless bowl games.

Everybody tune in to the SEC championship this Saturday. It will be the real National Championship game. The one that won't happen because they feel the need to push different conferences and regions instead of putting the four best teams in. Id much rather see Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama. At least the games would be fairly competitive instead of the beatdown that's coming if Washington or Florida State gets in. Maybe Oregon will take care of Washington and can be half way competitive.

I don't think Oregon is the best in the country. They played one real team and lost. LSU has a Pac 12 transfer inside linebacker. He was all conference at Oregon State. When I tell you he is the worst linebacker I have ever seen, I mean it. He is slow in the SEC. He had zero tackles for loss this season. In the Texas A&M game he accomplished something that I didn't even know was possible. He missed three tackles on the same play. Think about that for a minute. That is the kind of talent that Oregon is facing week in and week out.

As I mentioned earlier, Alabama losing to Texas won't matter because they'll still be in the top 12. Oklahoma losing to Kansas won't matter, because they'll still be in the top 12. Penn St losing to the only two good teams they play won't matter because they'll still be in the top 12. Which makes all of those games meaningless.

The actual numbers show that they are 2nd in the country in literally every offensive statistic. And they could put up more, but every game is a blowout so they switch gears in the 4th quarter.

They don’t this year, but they would most likely be in next year. And that’s better than watching them play Arizona with half the roster sitting out. More than likely (if we use this year) they’d open up with OSU, Bama, or Texas. That’s worse than watching them play in an empty stadium vs Arizona?
