I have a club tournament down there first week of may going out of mattawoman just looking for some suggestions on what to expect as far as what to use haven’t been there in almost 15 years

In april/may they will bite about anything
Find the grass and fish it with whatever lure you can fish quickly to cover water. When you get a bite pick that area of the grass apart with slower lures. Rinse and repeat. Pay attention to low tide / high tide. If you find a patch holding bass thats 4ft at high tide and go back and try to fish it at low tide those bass prob will have moved until next high tide.

A lot of people fish the bent pole pattern, especially if fishing a large grass bed. Fishing is good BUT it will be CROWDED, no difference than anywhere else these days.
