    Burnt Plastic

    Well I did it. No idea what I was thinking on a reheat and I read one time it's a smell you will never forget. I can you thats the truth.

    I’ve been there. It took days for the smell to get out of the garage. It is nasty.

    If you happen to burn the plastisol and see a black cloud floating in the air, get our and dont breath it. Thats Hydrogen Cyanide your looking at. Thats why you dont make baits in the kitchen or basement. Also have a 5 gallon bucket of water if you should get hot plastisol on you. Its like hot bacon grease and wont come off till it has cooled. Trust me on this.

    Curious, if burnt plastisol is hydrogen cyanide, wouldn't the solid form also be a bit toxic to the fish or to handle?

    It is probably toxic. My experience is just a gob of dark brown to black gunk that has to be thrown away.
