    Pouring Paca Craws?

Has anyone tried pouring Paca Craws or Paca Chunks? Do they have the same action as the originals?

    Lurecraft, http://www.lurecraft.com, 800-925-9088. p21 of their 2007 catalog. Show molds for 2" chunk ($8.00), 3" chunk ($9.50) and 3.75" craw ($10.50).

I have the 5x062 mold and it is a great little bait. I am starting to buy more jig trailer mold to start doing salty series baits. That craw I think the action would be better just because hand pours are softer.

    Re: Pouring Paca Craws? (dpage70)

I am looking at the molds to buy.... It's hard because I am going off a real bad picture and if I buy them they may not be what I want... I am waiting for more stick bait molds to get here and should be here tomorrow. I have been working on my plastic to give a durable salty bait that is still soft. Sorry I got side tracked, no I don't have them right now.

I hope that you guys that are pouring paca craws and chunks can use a more buoyant plastic so that the claws will float up unlike the originals that sink to the bottom!!!

the generic plaster one I made has very good action.. but like wormmaker I want an aluminum one.. the plaster is only got for a few pours.

    Re: Pouring Paca Craws? (worm-maker)

Thanks, Worm-maker, let me know. Actually, I'm just wanting to get started pouring plastics. I make my own jigs already. I like the paca craws and chunks for their action but they're expensive. If I can pour them myself I can payback my initial investment quickly.

When I get them I'll pour some up and send them to you... That way you know if you want to make the investment to buy the molds. I just bought 2 mold for now, and if I like them then I'll buy more myself.
