Guys, what filter is this in a 1999- Yamaha OX 66, 200 hp outboard?

guys every second year I’m having an issue with this filter getting clogged in a 1999. Yamaha 0x66 200 hp outboard.
this filter is underneath the electric fuel pump- I would like to get a replacement for this year, instead of just soaking it in a solution. Can anyone tell me what the part number is for this filter for my outboard?

image.jpg Or what is this filter called? /part # etc…. I religiously used to use star Tron and Yama lube. My mechanic said his theory is the combination of star Tron and Yama lube may be causing this. He recommended I switch to STABILE fuel treatment instead and I no longer use the Yama lube. I have not had any fuel related issues since but as a preventative measure I’m going to replace that filter this year.

Go to boats.net or Sim Yamaha and look at the schematic for you engine. They both carry that part. You can also find aftermarket filter on eBay for a lot less.

Or the official Yamaha US parts catalog. www.yamahaoutboards.com

    I am assuming that you have a 1999 SX200TXRX.

Do you troll a lot? How many hours per year on the motor? That will result in much more fuel flowing through that filter over time.

I know there’s some videos on YouTube but what is the overall time this should take to open up the VST take out filter and then prime the system when done ? Less than hour ? In the past a local boat mechanic around here charged me $299 to do this which to me seems to be on the high side ? And that was just reusing the VST filter after soaking it in a solution not replacing it looks like the filter part itself is about $60 online.

Mechanic should have replaced it with a new one. $299 labor and a used part, i would find a better mechanic!
About an hour if you have a mechanical aptitude. Make sure the pressure has been released at the shrader valve on the side of the vst tank.
