Removing oxidation and restoring gelcoat

This post is exactly why I stopped posting info here, however if members call me direct I’ll always help….there is only a few of us that do this for a living on here so the majority of the info in this thread is useless…I’m sorry but I gotta say it. Starting with 220, polyglow, 3000…. The bad thing is the guy trying to get his boat back in shape that is trying to use this information will either waste a lot of time, mess up the boat, spend money on something that can’t be done, mess it up where a professional cannot get it straight, etc. The main issue is giving information without at least a couple of pics of the finish in its current condition. Every boat is different.

I am not really worried about messing up my boat at this point. There does not seem to be a way to get my boat back to its original color without repainting it which I am not going to do. I have wasted a little time trying to see if I could restore the flake but didn't waste money because I did use what I purchased on the white gelcoat on the boat which looks great. I just have to accept the fact that the flake is too faded and my boat isn't worth paying a professional to fix it which is what I have done. No harm, no foul, no one is worse off for the advice given. I do appreciate everyone's input and encourage people to share their knowledge and experiences in posts on here.
