    Guesses on C boat color?

Anyone care to give an educated guess on what color metal flake I should order for this 2001 Champion Mean 16? I ordered some Regal Red but it appears to be a bit too "pink". Or, I don't know... maybe the Regal Red will be a little darker once added to the clear resin? I need to do some gelcoat repair.

    Thanks much!

Deans should have the color code. They'll need your HID.

Thanks much Champion Man. I called Deans, and although the lady who answered the phone was very nice, long story short, she said she couldn't help me.

Question for all: during the early 2000s time era, did Champion have standard color selections or were there some one-off hull colors?

Looks like midnight burgundy - that's the color of my Champion. Last time I had a repair I got the metal flake from Glitterex

Thanks MUCH Zorro4040! What year is your boat?.... and do you remember: Was it the PolyFlake product?

Mine is a (1996) 186 model. I'm pretty sure it was the PolyFlake product - wasn't a perfect match but it was pretty close. Mine has the same little cracks yours has on top of the gunnel. Asked if they could be fixed and the repair man said yes temporarily but they would come back.

Do a small test area somewhere.? Block wet sand, add clear gel, more block wet sand then buff...

Midnight burgundy was a very popular color in that vintage....
